What you will be doing

  • Develop and maintain our Ocean applications using Python, working closely with a collaborative engineering team.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines and business logic leveraging DBT, SQL, and Snowflake to drive insights and automation.
  • Apply cloud-native development practices with a strong focus on security, scalability, and performance — using tools like Terraform to manage infrastructure as code.
  • Collaborate with engineers, DevOps, QA, and data scientists to deliver reliable and efficient solutions across the tech stack.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams across Xeneta to understand customer needs and translate them into impactful features.
  • Embrace Agile principles to plan, iterate, and continuously improve both product and process.

Your profile and experience

  • You have 2-4 years of experience as Backend (or fullstack) Software developer using Python stack
  • You have good understanding of software development foundations (SOLID principles, patterns, big O notation, data structures, etc)
  • You have good understanding and experience in SQL including optimization and performance aspects, injections, clustering
  • You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code.
  • You are a team player, you enjoy learning and improving the team around you and yourself and can work independently if needed.
  • Fluent in English: oral and written.
  • You're located (or willing to relocate) near Oslo (Norway) - we will help you with relocation.
If you are not already authorized to work in Norway, a Bachelor's or a Master's in a relevant field is necessary.

Nice to have
  • Relevant higher education.
  • Experience using AWS services for building data processing and/or web applications
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Snowflake and Docker.
