Wikifarmer is building an innovative agricultural marketplace platform that connects farmers, suppliers, and buyers across the agricultural supply chain. We're on a mission to modernize how agricultural products are traded in Greece and beyond.

The role

We're looking for a skilled Mid or Senior PHP Developer to join a new development team. You'll work alongside our Tech Lead to build our multi-vendor marketplace platform built on CS-Cart with PHP 8.3. We're looking for developers who can leverage AI to accelerate development while maintaining high code quality and applying sound engineering judgment.

What you'll do
  • Develop our CS-Cart multi-vendor marketplace, writing maintainable PHP code following modern best practices

  • Collaborate with the team on technical decisions and architecture

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices

  • Implement automated tests to ensure reliability

  • Use AI coding tools effectively to accelerate development and refine AI-generated code to ensure quality and correctness

  • Integrate with third-party APIs (payment gateways, logistics, etc.)

  • Work on frontend components using JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS

  • Support the DevOps lifecycle - ship confidently with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS

What you’ll bring
  • Fluency in Greek and professional-level English

  • 4+ years of experience in PHP development

  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming

  • Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases

  • Experience with Git version control

  • Experience with automated testing (PHPUnit or similar)

  • Basic to intermediate JavaScript and CSS skills

Nice to have
  • Experience with PHP frameworks

  • Experience with CS-Cart or similar e-commerce platforms

  • Comfort working with AI coding assistants

  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization

  • Cloud architecture, CI/CD, Observability tools experience
