We’re proudly based in Edmonton, Canada, with a growing global team across Canada and Europe, including the United Kingdom and Norway.

We’re a team that cares deeply about education and the role technology can play in improving it. Our values, lead with care, seek perspectives, and be driven by purpose, guide how we work and how we support each other every day.

The Role

Showbie is looking for an Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts across schools, districts, and trusts. This role focuses on building strong relationships with key stakeholders, supporting customer retention, and identifying opportunities to expand the use of Showbie's products and services.

Working closely with Learning Specialists, CX, and reseller partners, you will help customers achieve their goals by ensuring they are getting maximum value from their Showbie investment. Through regular customer meetings, account reviews, and day-to-day engagement, you will build a deep understanding of customer priorities, challenges, and strategic objectives. Using value-based discovery and thoughtful questioning, you will uncover opportunities, challenge assumptions where appropriate, and guide conversations beyond product usage towards broader educational and organisational outcomes. By connecting customer goals to Showbie's solutions, you will strengthen stakeholder relationships, support long-term customer success, and identify opportunities for growth.

You will be responsible for managing renewal conversations, identifying and driving upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and maintaining accurate account plans, forecasts, and customer records within Salesforce. As a trusted partner to your customers, you will develop an understanding of their educational objectives and work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver value for customers.

We're looking for an ambitious early-career professional with 1–4 years of experience in a customer-facing commercial role—such as an SDR, BDR, or early-stage Account Manager—who is eager to take the next step in their career and develop into a strategic account management role. You'll gain valuable experience in customer retention, renewals, account growth, strategic planning, and helping educational organisations achieve meaningful outcomes through technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Build multi-threaded relationships with senior stakeholders across schools and trusts.
  • Own the overall commercial relationship and success of your assigned portfolio of accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans that align customer goals with Showbie's solutions and generate growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate input from teams across the business to maximise value for customer accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of account activity, risk, opportunities, and renewal progress in Salesforce CRM.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting of renewals, expansions, and pipeline opportunities.
  • Secure renewals that meet or exceed net revenue retention targets.
  • Identify, develop, and close upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Partner with reseller organisations and teams to support shared customers and drive commercial growth.
  • Monitor account health, identify risks, and proactively develop mitigation plans.
  • Lead account reviews and strategic customer conversations focused on customer goals, outcomes, adoption, and long-term value.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them align their educational goals with Showbie's solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of account management processes, playbooks, and best practices.
  • Stay informed on education sector trends, customer priorities, and Showbie product developments to guide commercial conversations and account strategy.

To Be Successful in the Role, You Will

  • Consistently achieve strong customer retention and renewal outcomes.
  • Identify, progress, and close expansion opportunities that deliver value for customers and growth for Showbie.
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of their priorities, challenges, and objectives.
  • Drive high levels of customer engagement, advocacy, and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, account plans, and customer records while executing account management best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and reseller partners to support customer success and growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experienced and successful SDR looking to move into account management, or entry level account manager with 1-4 years experience
  • Naturally curious and confident leading value-based conversations with customers, using discovery and questioning techniques to uncover needs, influence decision-making, and drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Proven track record in SaaS account management, renewals, or B2B sales
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience delivering on revenue-based KPIs
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of internal teams
  • Familiarity with the education market or a passion for supporting schools and educators
  • Organised, proactive, and accountable
  • Comfortable managing a large and varied account portfolio, with both precision and empathy
  • Experienced using Salesforce or similar CRM tools for pipeline and activity management

Bonus

  • Background or strong interest in education
  • Experience with tools such as Intercom, Salesforce, Pandadoc, etc.
  • Experience working in the Apple Education ecosystem or with resellers in education
