Product Manager
Showbie
About Us
At Showbie, we’re building tools to help teachers transform their classrooms by delivering faster, more engaging, and more impactful feedback and assessment to their students. Our apps, Showbie and Socrative, are used by millions of teachers and students in classrooms worldwide.
We are proudly based in Edmonton, Canada, but we have a growing global team located across Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Nordics.
We are comprised of people who are passionate about empowering educators as they use technology to redefine and improve their classrooms. Our values of tenacity, caring, and curiosity guide our attitudes and actions each day.
About The Role
We're looking for a thoughtful and driven Product Manager to join our team and help shape the future of teaching and learning. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of education, technology, and design, building intuitive and impactful tools that educators and students genuinely love to use.
You'll take ownership of key product areas across Showbie and Socrative, collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and teams across the company to deliver solutions that solve real classroom problems. From shaping product strategy to refining the details of execution, you'll help turn ideas into experiences that make a real difference.
This is a high-impact role where your work will influence how education happens every day, in classrooms from Edmonton to Oslo and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Drive the product vision for teachers, students, and parents — from discovery through launch and beyond. You’ll define clear outcomes and connect daily work to Showbie’s long-term strategy.
- Partner closely with Design and Engineering to craft feasible, lovable solutions. You’ll turn real user problems into opportunities that balance user needs, technical realities, and business goals.
- Collaborate across departments including Marketing, Sales, and CX to align your roadmap with broader priorities. You’ll champion shared goals and get buy-in across functions.
- Keep teams unblocked and focused. You’ll lead the day-to-day — clarifying scope, maintaining alignment, and protecting teams from unnecessary distractions or scope creep.
- Prioritize ruthlessly and intentionally. You’ll use insights from users, data, and stakeholders to make pragmatic tradeoffs and ensure you’re always working on the highest-impact problems.
- Deliver with impact. You’ll coordinate go-to-market readiness, internal enablement, and communication strategies to help new features land successfully and be adopted by users.
- Define and measure success. You’ll set clear, measurable goals before development starts and evaluate performance after release, using learnings to iterate and improve.
- Bring empathy and curiosity. You care deeply about education and the people we serve. You’re energized by user problems, not just shipping features.
- Live our principles. You'll obsess over customer problems, seek diverse perspectives, and help us continuously raise the bar — for quality, clarity, and impact.
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Product Manager in a cross-functional software team, ideally with B2B SaaS or EdTech products
- Strong product discovery and user research chops — you know how to dig beyond surface-level feedback and identify underlying needs
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially when working across disciplines and time zones
- Confident in balancing strategic thinking with tactical execution — you can zoom out to define a vision, and zoom in to write a great user story.
- A bias for thoughtful action, a learning mindset, and a desire to work on a product that makes a real difference.
Bonus
- Experience in K-12 education or with enterprise customers.
- Familiarity with Apple/iOS ecosystem.
- Knowledge of education markets like the UK or Nordics.

- Remote-first forever; considering a big life change? Want to try working from another country? We will work with you to allow you to work from wherever.
- The autonomy to make decisions and execute them. We’re growing, but we’re a small team. Everything you do makes a difference and your input will always be celebrated.
- Transparency. You will always be kept up to date on the company strategy through monthly town halls.
- We value work-life balance. When we're at work we're excited and focused on building a great product. We also know that going “home” (or simply closing your laptop) and not working weekends or Holidays makes us even more excited to come to work and do great things.
- While we take government holidays off, if they aren't ones that align with your personal or cultural beliefs, we have a swapping program that ensures you get the days that work best for you.
- Casual afternoon socials, monthly team events, hackathons, awesome Holiday parties, and a team that actually likes to hang out with one another.
- Generous flex time and time off during December Holidays.
