Your experience in application development for Apple and Windows platforms will help us to drive our mission forward: building an iconic CAD app for design professionals. You will be working on major features to create and maintain the best user experience on all platforms.

What will you do?

First and foremost, you’ll learn by doing. This means obtaining an understanding of 3D modeling principles, gaining expertise in the application domain and your functional area more and more as you go. You’ll actively participate in all stages of the agile development cycle, which means you’ll work closely with product designers, developers, fellow testers, and project managers providing ample opportunity for growth.

We’ll count on you in spotting and identifying risks during the development cycle, reviewing system requirements and tracking app health metrics. You’ll be expected to find and diagnose bugs, designing, maintaining, and executing test suites for technical specifications and user requirements. It’s also on you (working together with your assigned mentor) to stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies. Moreover, if you see any room for improvement in the product, the technical design, QA’s or the company’s processes, your ideas are not just encouraged, they are expected.

What will you need to be successful?

• Background in manual testing, especially experience-based approaches like exploratory testing or context-driven testing

• Analytical mindset and structural thinking to manage complex scenarios when testing a world-class CAD application

• Inherent drive for personal and professional growth, not being afraid to ask questions to get yourself unblocked

• Constructive attitude and the ability to build professional relationships within cross-functional teams

• Humbleness and determination to go the extra mile

• Strong communication skills in English, our language at work

• Experience in mobile application testing and 3D design are advantages

What do the first 6 months look like at Shapr3D?

Your most important assets in assuring quality at Shapr3D will be the deep understanding of our product and domain. The first couple of weeks of your onboarding will mainly focus on learning and understanding our product and processes, after which you’ll gain more and more autonomy and independence. You’ll be guided and mentored by experienced testers throughout the whole onboarding process.

Now let’s fast forward 6 months into the future. You have verified the design and implementation of multiple features and participated in the release process on all of our supported platforms. You’ve had countless occasions where you gave input to solving specific problems. You’ve also received numerous pushbacks and feedback from your teammates which eventually led to a better outcome. You’ve learned tons of new things during this period, and your work and contributions have inspired others to do the same.
