Why this role?

As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll be the first line of technical insight for our users—from freelancers and design engineers to large enterprise teams. Your work will directly shape how users engage with our platform, resolve critical issues, and discover the full potential of Shapr3D. You’ll balance deep technical understanding with a commitment to exceptional customer experience. If you join, you will:

  • Empower the future of CAD users: As a Technical Support Engineer at Shapr3D, you’ll be the frontline expert helping users overcome technical challenges. Your support will directly influence how designers and engineers experience and succeed with our product.
  • Be a key enabler of innovation: You'll troubleshoot complex issues across multiple platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience and helping companies stay productive as they push the boundaries of design and manufacturing.

What you'll do

  • Support users in resolving technical issues related to platform compatibility, configuration, and environment-specific behavior
  • Support users with issues related to installation, account access, subscription, Sync, modeling features, and import/export workflows
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering teams to report and escalate bugs or performance issues.
  • Communicate user feedback to help prioritize product improvements.
  • Stay up to date with product changes, new features, and best practices in 3D modeling workflows.

What you'll bring

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in 3D solid modeling in any major CAD software
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a straightforward and user-friendly way
  • Excellent written English communication skills (other languages a plus)
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience with help desk tools like Zendesk, Jira, etc.
    • Understanding of hardware compatibility, driver conflicts, and system resources
    • Experience working with crash logs, error codes, and platform-specific debugging tools
