We build software that helps companies along the food system get to Net Zero.

~31% of global GHG emissions originate from food-related activities. For the first time in history, climate performance has become an overall business performance indicator. Enterprises are mandated by regulatory bodies to disclose their climate performance, which leads to increasing pressure from investors, competitors, retailers, and consumers to prevent and reduce their CO2e emissions. Over the next 10 years, companies have set ambitious reduction targets that need to be met. Enterprise software and new business processes can help.

We raised >€10m in funding in the first 2 years of our existence, we launched our enterprise product, signed and onboarded some of the largest F&B players in Europe, and put together what we believe is the best-suited early-stage tech team in Europe. Will you be the next to join us? 🚀

🔭 What you will work on

Your mission

Help build up Root by working on the most urgent and significant sales, strategy and product related problems faced every day.

Over the next at least 3 months, you will:

1. Play a vital role in driving and executing projects and initiatives to rapidly scale our business across Europe and expand our product offering

2. Assume responsibility for high-impact end-to-end strategic projects (zero-to-one from thesis building to execution)

3. Work closely with the GTM team to evaluate and drive internal and external business development opportunities

4. Conduct market analysis to support crucial sales decisions

5. Have insights into and influence important management topics such as strategic roadmap, product development, etc.

🧺 What you bring along

You might be a good fit if:

💬 You likely have multiple Internships or up to 3 years of fulltime experience in a fast-paced environment

You also demonstrate the following:

• Currently pursuing or already completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a top-tier university with excellent grades

• First professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, venture capital or VC-backed startups

• Experience in working in a demanding high-growth environment with the ability to perform well under pressure, and handle several different projects and responsibilities simultaneously with ease

• Outstanding analytical skillset with a quick understanding of new subjects, willing to learn and excel in a demanding startup environment

• Ability to break down complex issues, reduce them to essential factors and communicate them effectively

• Self-driven personality with a “hands-on” approach, professional personality with utmost expectations towards yourself and your work

• Excellent German and English skills
