At Rooser, we’re on a mission to eliminate the world’s seafood waste. For us, this means creating transparency and certainty in what is an incredibly tough industry.

We’re building the world’s first seafood trading platform dedicated to connecting seafood processors with wholesalers.

We want to eradicate the fragmented processes and volatility that plague the industry & get seafood flowing more efficiently through the supply chain. As a perishable product, increased speed means longer shelf life and, ultimately, less waste.

Sounds simple, but this is no small feat.

🧭 The role mission

We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager to drive the growth of a diverse portfolio of suppliers. Your tenacity, guidance, and judgment will be key to maximising the value suppliers get from our trading platform.

The Account Manager will engage daily with suppliers, integrate real-time feedback, and use data-driven insights to transform sales potential into revenue.

🚢 What will you be doing?

  • Daily Supplier Interaction: Engage with suppliers daily to ensure they list and post their products on our marketplace

  • Building Relationships: Onboard and maintain strong relationships with our strategic Suppliers to ensure a positive marketplace experience.

  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the Demand Team in a fast-paced environment to identify the best offers and drive daily sales performance

  • Price Comparison and Advising: Assist suppliers in comparing and challenging prices, leveraging data to offer strategic advice to help them increase their daily sales.

🎣 This role will be a great catch if you…

  • Have previous account management experience working with SMB or mid-market clients to drive value from a tech platform with a high volume of transactions.

  • Have a hunger for success and a competitive spirit, always striving to exceed goals and drive growth.

  • Demonstrate resilience and determination, able to navigate challenges and persistently seek solutions in a dynamic environment.

  • Excel in building and maintaining professional relationships, with a track record of driving growth through strategic supplier engagement.

  • Are motivated by helping others succeed, with a passion for creating seamless, productive experiences for suppliers and driving mutual business growth.

  • Enjoy early mornings. The world of seafood starts early, and so does our team!

  • Possess strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting data to provide actionable insights and competitive pricing strategies.

  • You’re proficient with various sales and communication tools and comfortable working in a tech-enabled environment.

  • Prefer a highly structured and predictable environment, as this role requires adaptability and proactive problem-solving.

  • Are not comfortable with daily supplier interactions and relationship management since building and maintaining supplier engagement is crucial.

  • Struggle with data analysis and making data-informed decisions, as providing actionable insights based on data is a significant part of the role.

  • Do not want a role that demands a competitive drive or a hunger for success, as this position demands a proactive and ambitious mindset to achieve and exceed goals.
