About the role
The Finance team keeps Revolut moving with clarity and confidence. From accounting to strategic support, they work across the business to assess risk, guide decisions, and drive growth. Their insight shapes everything from daily operations to long-term plans and plays a key role in how we scale.
We're looking for a Regulatory Reporting Manager to lead regulatory financial reporting in Japan. You'll combine data management and analysis to create and review regulatory reports.

What you'll be doing
- Producing and reviewing regulatory reports, including statistical returns and other local regulatory requirements prior to submission
- Defining and implementing the process for the submission of necessary regulatory reports
- Assessing, developing, and maintaining proper controls, robust documentation, and change management approaches for financial operations
- Analysing and supporting Revolut Japan’s strategy in close collaboration with Operations, Legal, Compliance, Tech, and Risk teams
- Building close relationships with local regulators, and responding to queries that may arise
- Supporting the development of core financial products, features, and operations
- Developing business plans and financial models based on defined requirements and strategic plans
- Assisting with license applications

- 銀行業務の適切な管理体制、文書化、変更管理を構築・維持のサポート
- オペレーション、法務、コンプライアンス、テクノロジー、リスクなどのチームと連携し、Revolut Japan の銀行戦略を分析・サポートすること
- 規制当局との関係構築および照会対応のサポート
- 主要な銀行商品・機能、ならびにオペレーションの定義や特定と開発のサポート
- 要件定義に基づいたビジネスケースを作成し、実行プランを進めるサポート
- プロジェクトの優先順位付けに基づき、ライセンス申請のサポート
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in the Japanese banking sector, with fundamental knowledge of domestic banking products and services
- Operational expertise in deposit and/or foreign exchange (FX) services
- Experience in Zengin-net (Zengin System) and BOJ (Bank of Japan) transaction management
- The ability to make sense of regulations and develop processes and frameworks to compile new reports and enhance existing ones
- Fluency in Japanese (business-level proficiency, both verbal and written)

- 日本での銀行における商品・サービスの基本的な知識を有し、日本での銀行勤務経験が5年以上ある方
- 預金ないし為替業務に係るオペレーション実務経験のある方
- 全銀ネット、日銀取引管理の経験のある方
- 規制を理解し、新しい報告プロセスやフレームワークを構築・改善できる方
- 日本語でのビジネスレベルでのコミュニケーション能力
Nice to have
- Experience working with financial regulators
- Knowledge of accounting standards
- Secondment experience to the Japanese Bankers Association (Zengin-kyo) or the Regional Banks Association of Japan (Chigin-kyo)
- Experience in data analysis using SQL, Excel, or similar tools
- Fluency in English
