About the role

Business Development at Revolut drives growth by expanding reach, protecting and unlocking new revenue streams. They turn ambitious ideas into actionable plans, forge strategic partnerships, and identify untapped opportunities. Working closely across teams, they lead initiatives that open doors and create lasting impact.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to lead financial partnerships for card payments and services worldwide. You'll take ownership of identifying, closing, and scaling high-value partnerships that drive customer acquisition, product adoption, and revenue generation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading high-impact relationships with global payment schemes and other external stakeholders (public authorities, research institutions, industry associations)
  • Structuring and leading strategic initiatives focused on maximising and optimising card (debit and credit) P&L
  • Navigating and leading global regulatory changes linked to card revenues, and proactively defining action plans to obtain best outcomes for Revolut and its customers
  • Quantifying commercial implications of regulatory and market shifts to inform high-stakes decision-making and risk mitigation
  • Managing mission-critical initiatives end to end, from initial scoping through to final completion and delivery
  • Working closely with Government Affairs to monitor/horizon scan and respond to regulatory changes that may impact card revenues globally, planning and proactively proposing solutions
  • Collaborating with other teams (Card Payments, Legal, Merchant Acquiring, FX, etc.) to carry out projects and card payment initiatives

What you'll need

  • 9+ years of experience in financial services with a focus on card payments
  • Expertise in card scheme economics (scheme fees, interchange, etc.) and the overall payments ecosystem (4-party model, issuers/acquirers, merchants, etc.)
  • A solid understanding of the regulatory environment associated with cards and other payment methods
  • A proactive drive to make change happen and solve problems hands-on
  • Knowledge of what makes a great cards business, and the drivers/levers that can be used to contribute to high performance and success
  • Excellent structuring and programme management skills, with the ability to lead projects from beginning to end
  • To be an analytical thinker who starts with data and has a problem-solving mindset
  • Great communication skills to collaborate with global stakeholders
  • Familiarity with card payments P&L and the ability to deep-dive to understand key drivers
  • Natural curiosity and a willingness to make an impact
