The Branch team is responsible for making sure the branch is fully compliant with local and European regulations, and offering the best products and service to our customers.

We’re looking for a Country Manager to help shape how we continue to expand and operate across the globe. You’ll work on high-impact branch initiatives in Spain, using insight to solve challenges, scale processes, and deliver better outcomes for our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and orchestrating an actionable, data-backed, cross-functional country strategy to become a relevant banking player in Spain
  • Being a trusted partner to the RBUAB
  • Managing all aspects of the Spanish market, including local product needs and business development opportunities
  • Supervising local branch compliance and AML/CTF professionals
  • Collaborating with product teams in order to expand existing features and products while incorporating specific local considerations
  • Identifying key product, operational, licensing, and growth opportunities
  • Building critical vendor relationships and performance tracking systems
  • Executing scale operations and working with cross-functional teams, from Operations to Finance, Legal and Compliance, Marketing and Communications
  • Supervising day-to-day branch activities
  • Legally representing and signing documents on behalf of the branch in front of regulators, authorities, natural persons, and legal entities
  • Overseeing the Spain branch team, setting relevant KPIs in line with branch and Revolut objectives

What you'll need

  • At least a 2:1 STEM, finance, economics, or business degree from a top university
  • 7+ years of experience working within a fintech, traditional bank, financial institution, or consulting firm
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing a team
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations in Spain and the EU
  • Experience managing risk, compliance, and outsourcing operations
  • A solid track record of taking ownership and leading complex projects end to end

  • An entrepreneurial spirit with customer, product, and business-oriented thinking
  • A solid understanding of the business case behind retail banking, as well as the competitive landscape in the market
  • A track record of building and growing a business, and delivering high-impact projects successfully
  • A hands-on mentality with a natural aptitude to manage competing priorities
  • Experience setting up a branch entity in Spain
  • Natural curiosity and a willingness to make an impact
