法務部門はレボリュートの中心に位置し、ビジネスの中核を担っています。法務部のメンバーは、社内のあらゆる分野に対して第一線で助言・支援を行い、レボリュートの成長により良い影響を与えるような意思決定に日々寄与しています。金融レギュレーション、契約法務、ジェネラルコーポレートその他様々な法律問題など、携わる仕事の幅広さ（関与の度合い）は、社内職としてはかなりユニークなものです。レボリュートの日本法人の法務部門において、当社の継続的な日本での事業拡大やオペレーション、様々な法務・規制に関する助言を行うシニア法務マネジャーを募集しています。この職務は日本に拠点を置き、日本法務部長兼取締役の直属のもと、新規ライセンスの取得及び新規事業の立ち上げを主導し、最終的には新規事業の法務責任者となっていただくことを考えています。

About the position

The Legal Department is at the centre of Revolut and is at the core of the business. Members of the Legal department provide first-line advice and support to all areas of internal affairs and contribute daily to decisions that will have a positive impact on Revolut's growth. The scope of your work (level of involvement), including financial regulation, contracts, general corporate, and various other legal issues is quite unique as an in-house position. Revolut's legal department in Japan is looking for a Legal Counsel to advise on our ongoing expansion and operations in Japan, as well as various legal and regulatory matters. In this role, we are considering that you will report to the Head of Legal/board director in Japan, leading new business launches and eventually be the Head of Legal for the new business.

What you’ll be doing

• グループ間契約、業務委託契約、サービス契約、パートナーシップ契約、マーケティング契約など様々な商業契約について、ドラフト又はレビューを行い、社内関係者（日本法人及び英国本社を含むグループ会社のオペレーションチーム、コンプライアンスチーム、金融犯罪対策チーム等）にアドバイスし、社内関係者と協議し、又は社外関係者との折衝のサポート(必要に応じて直接)を行う。
• グローバル及びローカルチームと連携し、新規ライセンス申請や新規事業の立ち上げを主導する
• 個人情報保護法、マイナンバー法をはじめとするデータープロテクションに関連する助言を行う
• AML及びCFTに関する業務のサポート
• レギュラトリーコンプライアンスに関する業務のサポート（必要な届出・報告のサポートを含む。）
• 新製品開発に関連する法的リスクの特定及び助言を行う
• 各種キャンペーンのレビュー
• 利用規約のレビュー
• 社内規程のレビュー
• 争訟対応
• 取締役会の適切な運営のサポート
• 外部弁護士との連携及びその適切な管理
• 契約書、契約管理システム、その他法務関連データベースの管理
• 法令・規制要件の変更をアップデートし、規制の進展に積極的に対応する
• 国内事業のあらゆる側面に関連する幅広い法的な問い合わせに対して、タイムリーなサポートを提供

Responsibilities

• Providing legal analysis and advice on financial regulations
• Drafting and reviewing various commercial contracts, including inter-group, outsourcing, service, partnership, and marketing agreements
• Advising and consulting with internal parties (e.g. Operations, Compliance, and FinCrime teams in Japan and our Group companies, including UK headquarters)
• Assisting in negotiations with external parties
• Liaising with global and local teams to lead new license applications and new business setups
• Advising on data protection, including the Act on Protection of Personal Information and the My Number Law
• Supporting work related to AML, CFT, and regulatory compliance
• Identifying and advising on legal risks associated with new product development
• Reviewing various campaigns, terms and conditions, and internal regulations
• Handling disputes and litigation
• Supporting the proper operation of the Board of Directors
• Liaising with external lawyers and their proper management
• Maintaining contracts, contract management systems, and other legal databases
• Updating changes in legal and regulatory requirements and proactively responding to changes in regulatory developments
• Providing timely support to a wide range of legal queries relating to all aspects of the local business

What you'll need

応募資格

• 日本の弁護士資格又は英米法系の弁護士資格
• 2年以上の企業法務経験（金融規制の経験があれば尚可）
• 日本語：ネイティブレベル
• 英語：ビジネスレベル
• 顧客サービス及び顧客志向が強く、良好な人間関係を構築することに長けていること
• 高い独立性、自発性、決断力
• 結果を出すための熱意と意欲
• 高い分析能力を有し、曖昧な状況下でも適切な法的・経営的判断力を発揮できること
• 独立して仕事をする能力、また部門横断的なチームにうまく貢献する能力
• 優れた組織能力、及び複数のプロジェクトを同時に管理し、期限を守ることができる能力
• A licence to practice law in Japan (bengoshi) or common law jurisdiction
• 2+ years of experience in corporate legal work (practical experience with financial regulation would be plus)
• Fluency in Japanese (native level)
• Fluency in English (business level)
• Excellent customer service and client orientation, with the ability to build successful relationships
• A high degree of independence, initiative, and determination
• Enthusiasm and drive for results
• High analytical skills and the ability to exercise good legal and managerial judgement in ambiguous situations
• The ability to work independently and contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
• Great organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
