About the role

Led by Juan Guerra, CEO of Revolut Mexico, our Mexico entity has an ambitious plan to bring our fintech to the market there.

We’re building high-calibre performance teams to design and launch exciting financial features while maintaining excellence in its delivery.

We’re looking for a Board Advisor to provide guidance and advice to the executive leadership team in Mexico around the strategy and roadmap for the development of Revolut in the country.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing guidance and advice to the Executive team around the strategy and roadmap for the development of Revolut Mexico Bank
  • Providing insights and recommendations to key enablers for the future success of Revolut, including its approach to securing relevant authorisations and licences
  • Acting as a sounding Board for the Executive team for key strategic, risk, and compliance issues, including key regulatory interactions
  • Advising on the development of a governance and risk management framework that’s fit for purpose for a prudentially regulated entity
  • Introducing potential partners, prospective team members, or additional Advisory Committee or Board members, through the Advisor’s network of business contacts
  • Attending recurrent meetings (in person or online) with the Executive team
  • Collaborating with Executive team members on areas of particular subject matter expertise, providing mentorship and counsel
  • Reviewing and responding to requests from the Executive team for insights, advice, or recommendations on matters relevant to general roles and responsibilities
  • Chairing one or more sub-committees

What you'll need

  • 15+ years of experience in technology, financial audit, accounting, risk and compliance, and/or banking
  • Experience working in a systemic bank in Mexico or equivalent
  • Experience on other Boards of high-growth companies
  • Experience chairing Board sub-committees
