About the role

Our Risk team sits at the very core of Revolut. These special agents work across functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business is on safe footing. People in the Risk team are among the first in the company to get involved in new business initiatives, from App Technology, through Treasury and Finance, to Customer Support 💫

We’re looking for a First-Line Risk Manager to sit within the first line of defence at Revolut Bank UAB and own our Business Risk Management processes. An analytical mind to develop sustainable growth strategies that align with operational risk frameworks. Someone who’ll take our risk management procedures to the next level.

What you’ll be doing

  • Overseeing the consistency and effectiveness of the entire first line of defence in the bank
  • Working closely with key first-line functions, coordinating with Business Risk Managers in each of them
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to refine and improve how risks are assessed and managed, including how to handle, report, and prioritise risk issues and incidents
  • Embedding risk awareness and ownership in all first-line areas of the bank, supporting them in the process, and coordinating for quality and consistency
  • Helping to define and execute the growth required in this space, aligning with business needs and regulator expectations
  • Creating and enforcing guidelines and risk frameworks for our first line of defence
  • Ensuring risk processes and procedures across multiple different Revolut Bank departments are aligned
  • Supporting the creation of the Business Risk Management structure
  • Identifying, assessing, documenting, and reviewing operational risks
  • Designing, implementing, and testing controls
  • Creating and reviewing key risk indicators
  • Registering risk events
  • Managing and delivering risk incident reports

What you'll need

  • A university degree in finance, economics, or STEM subject
  • 7+ years of experience in operational risk management, enterprise risk management, or management consulting, preferably in financial services
  • Exposure to banking operations and banking regulations
  • Previous examples of practically interpreting and organising complex data
  • A solid track record of achievement, compelling and material individual contributions towards those achievements
  • The ability to quickly and proactively learn and assume increasing responsibilities
  • An organised and methodological approach
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills

Nice to have

  • Experience collaborating with the second line of defence

Compensation range

  • Lithuania: €4,800 - €6,000 gross monthly*
  • Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process

*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
