About the role

At Revolut, we do Ops differently. Our hyper-talented Operations experts don’t just keep things ticking over. They’re given the most complex, hard-to-solve problems in the business. Then they create elegant, scalable solutions that keep pace with our ambitious growth plans. Without our Ops team, we’d be following the herd, not leading the pack — and that’s a place we never want to be.

We’re looking for a skilled Algo Trader to sit within our electronic trading desk. You’ll be given varying tasks and problems within trading, giving you breadth and depth of experience unmatched in almost any job, and the chance to have an impact on Revolut’s success. You’ll receive hands-on training from the team and develop your analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.

What you’ll be doing

• Optimising P&L
• Identifying problems, carrying out analysis, designing solutions, and executing them
• Driving automation projects
• Digging deep into financial data, performing extensive statistical analysis, modelling, identifying additional revenue streams, and locating areas of future automation
• Developing relationships with counterparties and vendors to optimise trading infrastructure
• Building and optimising scalable processes to continue Revolut’s hyper-growth
• Exploring and defining which projects the team should prioritise, and setting a timeline to reach goals quickly

What you'll need

• At least a 2:1 STEM degree from a top university
• 1+ years of work experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in trading
• Hands-on coding experience with SQL, Python, or R
• A solid track record of taking ownership and leading complex projects end to end
• A magic skill to break complex problems into smaller ones and to enjoy working with data
• A natural curiosity and will to make an impact
• An interest in the financial industry
