The Role

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to own and execute our growth strategy in Singapore. You will be responsible for identifying new merchants for our platform, developing strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, and enhancing our brand recognition within the local market.

This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our expansion, working closely with restaurant partners to deliver frictionless guest experiences and empowering the F&B industry to thrive through our Paytech solutions.

What You’ll Be Driving:

New Merchant Acquisition

  • Grow the Portfolio: Drive end-to-end acquisition of new restaurant partners by engaging directly with restaurant owners, managers, and decision makers.

  • Own the Funnel: Research and identify suitable merchant partners and key decision-makers. You will manage the process from first contact to the point of being fully operational, taking full ownership of your sales funnel.

  • Tailored Solutions: Craft success strategies for each merchant by understanding their specific business model and challenges, identifying clear opportunities for our Paytech solutions to add value.

  • Market Strategy: Identify local market trends and contribute to developing sales and marketing strategies that increase our presence and brand authority in Singapore.

Merchant Onboarding & Experience

  • Seamless Activation: Partner closely with the operations team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for restaurants, ensuring they are activated quickly with minimal friction.

  • Strategic Insights: Support management by providing important field insights and recommendations based on merchant feedback, industry trends, and performance reports.

  • Long-term Success: Set merchants up for success by guiding them through best practices and monitoring their initial performance post-launch to ensure high retention.

Pipeline & CRM Governance

  • Pipeline Discipline: Maintain a clean and disciplined sales pipeline, ensuring all lead statuses and stage progressions are accurately tracked in our CRM.

  • Data-Driven Focus: Use data to drive focus and accountability, consistently meeting or exceeding your acquisition targets through improved deal velocity.

  • Accurate Forecasting: Deliver timely updates on pipeline health to help the leadership team understand growth trajectories within the Singapore market.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, partnerships, or account management — ideally in SaaS, payments, or the F&B/hospitality tech space.

  • Proven Prospecting Skills: A demonstrated ability to generate your own leads, develop a sales pipeline, and close new business in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communication & Networking: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you are equally comfortable pitching to a business owner as you are networking with industry stakeholders.

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to turn market trends into actionable growth plans.

  • Self-Motivated & Adaptable: A result-oriented mindset with a bias toward action. You are comfortable navigating the ambiguity of a fast-growing startup and can manage multiple priorities without losing focus.

  • Tech Savvy: Confident using CRMs (like HubSpot or Salesforce) and leveraging data to guide your daily decisions and sales strategy.
