Meet the team!

We’re looking for a Market Research Specialist to help scale how we generate, analyze, and activate market and brand insights across Preply.

This role sits within the Brand team, reporting to the Market Research Lead, and works closely with Growth, Product, and UX Research. You’ll be highly hands-on across the full research cycle: from designing surveys and analyzing raw data to turning results into clear insights that influence business decisions.

You’ll play a key role in strengthening our quantitative research capability, owning execution across ongoing brand tracking, ad-hoc studies, and global research projects across multiple markets. While you’ll work in close partnership with the Market Research Lead, you’ll be expected to operate independently in driving analysis, surfacing insights, and supporting teams with actionable recommendations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyze ongoing brand tracking studies across key regions, with regular deep dives into usage, attitudes, perceptions, and brand associations.

  • Design and build quantitative research surveys from scratch, including questionnaire structure, logic, and sampling considerations.

  • Program, test, and QA surveys using tools such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Typeform, or similar platforms.

  • Work directly with raw survey data, performing crosstab analysis, segmentation, and deep exploratory analysis on large datasets.

  • Identify patterns and trends in the data to generate insights that inform brand, marketing, and growth decisions.

  • Prepare clear, insight-driven research reports, presentations, and visualizations tailored to different audiences.

  • Translate complex analysis into simple, actionable takeaways and recommendations.

  • Collaborate closely with the Brand and Growth teams to ensure research answers real business questions.

  • Partner with the UX Research team to connect market and brand insights with product discovery and roadmap decisions.

  • Help improve research processes, templates, and analytical approaches to make insights more scalable and consistent.

What you need to succeed:

  • 7+ years of experience in quantitative market research and analytics, either in-house or agency-side.

  • Strong expertise in survey-based research, including questionnaire design, survey structure, sampling, and customer segmentation.

  • High proficiency in Excel and quantitative analysis, with experience working directly from raw survey data.

  • Proven ability to analyze surveys end-to-end and produce clear, insight-led reports with charts and visualizations.

  • Experience with brand, marketing, or customer research, including brand tracking, segmentation, satisfaction survey and competitor analysis.

  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to identify insights and opportunities from complex data.

  • Experience working across international and multicultural markets.

  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with brand, growth, and product teams.

  • High adaptability and ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.

  • Fluent English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with statistical or analytical tools beyond Excel (e.g. R, Python, SPSS, Stata).

  • Familiarity with BI or visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Experience working with panels or managing external research vendors.

  • Interest in emerging research methods, automation, or AI-assisted analysis.

  • Experience working with or alongside brand attribution, brand impact measurement, or marketing effectiveness analysis.

Why you’ll love it at Preply:

  • An open, collaborative, dynamic and diverse culture;

  • A generous monthly allowance for lessons on Preply.com, Learning & Development budget and time off for your self-development;

  • A competitive financial package with equity, leave allowance and health insurance;

  • Access to free mental health support platforms;

  • Access to Gympass-partnered wellness and gym centers throughout Spain to promote and support well-being and physical health;

  • The opportunity to unlock the potential of learners and tutors through language learning and teaching in 175 countries (and counting!).
