Design at NexHealth

At NexHealth, we’re transforming healthcare by connecting patients, providers, and developers through seamless, modern experiences. Design is at the core of how we do that. We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to lead design across our Payments platform—a critical area of our product used by thousands of practices and millions of patients.

This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role where you’ll report to the Head of Design and partner cross-functionally with product and engineering to shape the future of how healthcare gets paid. You’ll own end-to-end experiences, influence strategy, and help build a culture of design excellence within NexHealth.This is a full-time role in our office in San Francisco, CA.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end design strategy for NexHealth’s Payments platform
  • Translate complex workflows into intuitive solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and stakeholders
  • Drive generative and evaluative research
  • Create design artifacts (user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, UI)
  • Mentor other designers
  • Contribute to the design system and principles

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8+ years of product design experience
  • Ability to design experiences from scratch
  • Strong systems thinking
  • Experience in payment, fintech, or regulated domains (plus)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deep empathy for users
  • Self-directed, proactive, and a founder mindset
