Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. We work with small home service businesses, like your local plumbers, painters, and landscapers, to transform the way service is delivered through technology. With Jobber they can quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers while providing an easy and professional customer experience. Running a small business today isn’t like it used to be—the way we consume and deliver service is changing rapidly, technology is evolving, and customers expect more. That’s why we put the power and flexibility in their hands to run their businesses how, where, and when they want!

Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has also been named on the Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50™, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500™ lists. With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011—but we’ve just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.

The team:

Business Technology is the engineering team within Business Operations, our internal consulting department – they’re the decision support mechanism that connects data, business insights and an internal tech stack (systems) with the rest of the organization.

The Business Technology team develops internal software, integrations and data infrastructure. Our work unlocks improved operational outcomes, workflow efficiencies and new business insights across our organization. We help teams leverage data, tools and technology in order to successfully execute on their own mandates. We research, develop and maintain systems which support other internal teams from an operational and analytical perspective.

The role:

Reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering the Senior Salesforce Developer will integrate Salesforce with other Jobber systems and optimize Salesforce performance to enable our sales and customer success teams to build better relationships with our customers. There are a number of internal tools we use that allow our teams to do great work, which is the direct impact you will have by analyzing, designing and optimizing business processes related to Salesforce.

The Senior Salesforce Developer will:

  • Implement new process and automation in Salesforce leveraging the capabilities to streamline operations and enhance productivity

  • Seek out and evaluate new technologies, tools and systems to achieve state of the art tech-stack, contributing to the overall advancement of Jobbers Salesforce platform infrastructure
  • Leverage Salesforce capabilities to optimize business processes, automate workflows, and achieve operational excellence

To be successful, you should have:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Salesforce Developer, developing and implementing Salesforce Sales Cloud Solutions.

  • Desire to collaborate. Experience working across multiple business units, comprising many stakeholders and influencing factors. You are team-oriented but able to work autonomously with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ownership and growth mindset. You are driven to do the right things and often find yourself in the driver’s seat. You are the kind of person who knows what needs to get done and you make it happen while planning for the next stage ahead. You also involve the right people to help you with this.
  • Proven troubleshooting experience. You’ll be very familiar with Salesforce best practices and the ability to recommend changes to our process that will increase efficiency for our internal teams.
  • Ability to be highly adaptable. You will need to support the high-performing sales and success teams with ad-hoc requests and help in removing barriers/enabling new pathways on an ever-changing landscape
  • A passion for technology. You are naturally curious about technology and tend to be an early adopter for most things. You appreciate how technology can solve many business problems and are driven to make a lasting impact.
