Our Sales team gains an understanding of who our customers are, what their businesses do, and how Jobber can help them succeed, to turn leads into advocates.

They also want to see each other be successful, through regular 1:1’s which focus on performance, coaching, and long-term development - which is where this role comes in.

The role:

As the Senior Manager, Sales you will be responsible for cultivating a culture of excellence, growth, and achievement within our sales teams.

You will use your extensive sales experience and coaching skills to consistently level up your team, develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers, drive revenue growth through new and existing channels, and expand Jobber's presence in the market.

With a focus on data, you collaborate with Senior Leadership on annual plans for your functional area and lead quarterly execution. Your success is measured by your ability to develop excellent managers, teams, sales people, and processes that meet and exceed new customer acquisition and revenue targets.

As a Senior Manager, Sales, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing new business sales team including front-line team members and managers you will set clear performance expectations, and provide coaching and mentorship to ensure team members achieve their targets.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Director, Sales to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive new customer acquisition through new and existing channels, market penetration, and revenue growth in line with company goals.
  • Talent Management & Development: Plan, Recruit and Onboard teams to deliver against sales goals and targets. Develop and implement training programs, workshops, and resources to continually upskill our sales teams, focusing on sales methodologies, product knowledge, and customer-centric approaches.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve the sales process, tools, and methodologies and partner closely with operations and enablement teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Leverage data and analytics to gain insights into sales trends, customer behavior, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities or areas for improvement. Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and dashboards to track team performance and provide insights to senior management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including marketing, operations, enablement, sales development, customer success, and product development, to ensure alignment with the company mission and goals.

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in sales management or team leadership.
  • Extensive background as a front-line or second line sales leader in a high-volume, short-cycle, B2B environment.
  • Experience leading and driving cross-functional projects and teams
  • Proven track record of personal and professional excellence, career growth, consistently exceeding targets, and motivating others to do the same.
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce, Excel spreadsheets, and data-driven methodologies.
  • Ability to balance big-picture thinking with meticulous attention to detail and execution.
  • Dedication to coaching and development, with the ability to identify strengths and growth opportunities in team members.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, crucial for building trust with peers and key stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in articulating and communicating strategic ideas to executives and translating high-level concepts into actionable plans.
  • A passionate commitment to sales, our customers, and a strong connection to our purpose of helping small businesses achieve greater success.
  • Remote in Canada with the ability to travel periodically
