About incident.io

incident.io is the leading AI incident response platform, built to help teams dramatically reduce incident response time and improve reliability. We bring together on-call, incident response, AI SRE, and status pages in a single platform, giving teams everything they need to respond quickly, reduce downtime, and keep customers in the loop.

Since launching in 2021, we’ve helped over 1,500 companies, including Netflix, Airbnb, and Block, run more than 500,000 incidents. Every month, tens of thousands of responders across Engineering, Product, and Support use incident.io to restore services faster, stay aligned under pressure, and focus on building what matters.

We’re a fast-growing, highly ambitious team that cares deeply about our customers, product quality, and making it magic. We’ve raised $100M from Index Ventures, Insight Partners, and Point Nine, alongside founders and executives from world-class technology companies.

The Team

Our Business Development Representatives (BDRs) are often the first time a potential customer interacts with our company. We want this experience to feel thoughtful and magical. They're responsible for identifying and engaging high-potential prospects through a variety of means - ultimately creating pipeline and growth for the business.

Over the past year we've made significant investments in the BDR function. We now have a US-based BDR team and a UK-based BDR team reporting into a first-line manager. We're in a period of rapid growth and planning for doubling-plus growth next year. To get there, we need a senior leader who has scaled global outbound BDR organisations before - someone who combines world-class coaching sensibility with operational rigour on activity metrics, and who brings a forward-thinking perspective on how AI tooling can fundamentally transform BDR productivity.

This isn't a greenfield build from scratch - it's about taking a function with real momentum and proven early results, and nurturing the next phase of scale. You'll inherit existing teams across two geographies and be expected to raise the bar on coaching quality, activity discipline, and pipeline output while simultaneously deploying modern AI-driven workflows.

What you'll be doing:

  • Scaling a global outbound BDR engine. Own the end-to-end BD strategy outbound pipeline generation, inbound qualification, reporting, and Marketing partnership. Take the existing foundation and develop the playbooks and cadences to support doubling-plus growth.

  • Coaching and developing a high-performing global team. Run regular call reviews, pipeline coaching, and 1:1s that meaningfully improve rep performance. Recruit, nurture, and retain BDRs across the US and UK, fostering a culture of excellence and career growth.

  • Maintaining best-in-class activity rigor. Set clear activity standards and create the reporting infrastructure to track them. Be hands-on as first-line manager of the US team running standups, tracking KPIs until the org scales to require a dedicated first-line leader.

  • Bringing an AI-first mindset to the BDR function. Evaluate, deploy, and iterate on AI tools and automation that make the team meaningfully more productive from prospecting and personalisation to sequencing and analytics.

  • Leading the team to exceed SQO targets, creating reporting infrastructure and providing feedback to ensure team success aligns with growth objectives.

What experience you need to be successful:

  • Proven track record developing and scaling global, outbound-oriented BDR orgs. You've done this across multiple geographies through rapid growth and have strong perspectives built from direct experience, not theory.

  • Exceptional coaching ability. Coaching is central to how you lead. You can point to specific reps you've developed, the frameworks you used, and the tangible impact on their performance.

  • Demonstrated experience deploying AI and automation in BDR/sales development. You've actively implemented AI-driven workflows not just experimented and can speak concretely to what you built and the results it delivered.

  • A collaborative-achiever mentality. You're excited to be hands-on as first-line manager of the US team while simultaneously setting the global strategy.

  • Commitment to activity rigour and operational discipline. You've created the metrics frameworks, dashboards, and accountability cadences that drive consistent outbound execution.

  • Has succeeded in high-growth environments. You've operated through doubling-or-more growth and understand the challenges of maintaining quality and culture through rapid scaling.
