Product Engineer - Full-Stack (f/m/d)
🌍 Location: Munich (office-first) ⏰ Start: immediate 💰 Package: Competitive compensation 🗣️ Languages: German + English
Join Hula Earth to build the platform that turns raw biodiversity data into actionable insights for nature investors. You'll work across the full stack — crafting data-rich frontends, designing clean APIs, and collaborating closely with Product and Design to shape what our customers actually experience.
🌟 Role Impact
You'll own features end-to-end - from the API layer to the UI - and sit at the table when product decisions get made.
You'll help define what gets built and why instead of being handed tickets.
The platform is growing fast, and you'll leave a visible mark on it.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Frontend & Product
Build and iterate on feature-rich, data-driven interfaces across the tech-stack
Translate designs into high-quality, production-ready components while ensuring also the rest scales, as needed.
Work closely with Product and Design to refine UX — you'll have opinions and they'll matter
Own the quality of what you ship: performance, accessibility, and edge cases included
Backend & Data
Design and build structures that scale.
Integrate external data sources (satellite feeds, sensor data, third-party services)
Contribute to data pipelines that power our dashboards and reports
Engineering Culture
Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews
Help raise the bar on testing, documentation, and technical quality
AI-pilled by leveraging tools to maximize your own output quality & quantity
Contribute to a culture where engineers take ownership rather than wait for instructions
🎓 Requirements
Must-have:
3-5 years of full-stack product engineering experience
Strong frontend & backend skills (neither SvelteKit nor Terraform should sound unfamiliar)
A product mindset: you think about the user, not just the feature
Comfortable owning features across the tech-stack without hand-holding
Nice-to-have:
Experience building data products
Familiarity with geospatial and time-series data
Exposure to IoT data ingestion or sensor platforms
Experience in an early-stage startup
As a person:
Builder mentality: You'd rather ship and iterate than wait for perfect requirements
Design sensibility: You care how things look and feel, not just whether they work
Communicator: You can talk to Product, Design, and engineers in their own language
Curious: You want to understand the domain (biodiversity, nature finance) and let it shape what you build
