🌟 Role Impact

Work on the assembly and integration of our biodiversity monitoring devices
Support the development and testing of embedded hardware components
Gain hands-on experience in environmental sensing technology
Work closely with experienced engineers and learn about cutting-edge hardware solutions
Contribute to the optimisation and scalability of our sensor technology

📋 Key Responsibilities

Hardware Development & Assembly

Assemble and integrate bioacoustic IoT sensor devices
Conduct hardware testing and validation
Assist in troubleshooting and debugging embedded hardware
Optimize sensor performance and power consumption
Support PCB development and debugging
Help document hardware configurations and test results

Engineering & Production Tasks

Maintain and update the bill of materials
Support production testing and quality control
Assist with vendor communication and component sourcing
Document hardware development processes

Embedded Systems Support

Implement firmware for testing and validating new Hardware Architecture
Implement C++ Libraries/Drivers for ICs
Implement Business Logic in Rust
Assist in sensor calibration and integration

🎓 Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Hands-on experience with hardware assembly or embedded electronics
Understanding of sensor interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART) and power management
CAD knowledge (Fusion 360, Solidworks) is a plus
Familiarity with PCB design and debugging tools is an advantage
Knowledge of firmware programming (C/C++)
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
Availability for 15-20 hours per week or a fulltime internship, onsite in Munich
