🌟 Role Impact
Develop ML models for environmental data analysis and bioacoustics
Engineer efficient data pipelines for complex multi-modal data streams (audio, sensor, satellite)
Extract actionable environmental insights for our customers from large-scale environmental data
Collaborate with senior scientists and engineers on core algorithms
📋 Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis
Develop and improve species detection algorithms
Process and analyze earth observation and sensor data
Create data-driven environmental health indicators
Validate and test ML models
Development
Write clean, documented Python code
Build and maintain data processing pipelines
Drive real-time analysis by optimizing critical data processing paths
Implement scientific papers and methods
Contribute to our core ML framework
Collaboration
Collaborate with senior scientists on environmental research
Support hardware team with edge ML models
Help improve data collection methods
Document findings and methods
🎓 Requirements
2-4 years data science experience
Strong Python programming skills
Broad (Software) Engineering skills to be flexible and independent
Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
Knowledge of geospatial data processing
Nice to have: background in environmental science or similar
