THE ROLE

We are looking for a Director of Business Development - Hospitals & Public Sector to join our team at Docplanner Italy!

As Director of Business Development - Hospitals & Public Sector you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the commercial strategies with our key targets in the public healthcare sector, including public healthcare authorities, public hospitals, private hospitals and big clinics. As a thought leader, you will be responsible for understanding major industry trends, both within the public healthcare ecosystem and partnerships; for shaping Docplanner Italy’s business priorities in this sector; and for designing and achieving commercial objectives, delivering revenue and lead-generation-driven targets in a dynamic and efficient way.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Design and develop Docplanner Italy’s business strategies and targets for the public healthcare market and the hospitals sector, in collaboration with the Country Manager for Italy, coordinating different teams and products within the Group, with the aim of implementing a coherent and efficient go-to-market proposition and strategic plan

  • Execute on the commercial strategy by securing and leading clients or partners executive meetings, ensuring a thorough understanding of their requirements, values, decision criteria, timing, etc, in the Public and/or Hospitals sector

  • Explore, identify, implement and manage strategic relationships (joint ventures, partnerships, consortia, enterprise groups for bidding in public tenders, etc.) with other private or public players in the Italian market, and lead the relevant initiatives up to the commercial finalisation and relationship management phases

  • Lead new product / business development processes, by working collaboratively with the Product, Finance, and Operations teams locally and globally, to serve the Public Sector and Hospitals segment

  • Design and deliver strategic presentations to targeted strategic clients or stakeholders in the Public and/or Hospitals sectors, informed by clear solutions and strong value propositions

  • Work closely with the Sales, Marketing and Public Affairs teams to maintain relationships and build network with key stakeholders and players in the industry

  • Increase Docplanner brand awareness in Italy among key stakeholders in the Public and Hospitals sectors

Qualifiche

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or related field, advanced degree a plus

  • Proven experience in designing go-to-market strategies and developing business relationships in the public healthcare and big hospitals sector, with a track record of successfully closed deals and/or partnerships

  • Sales experience targeting public authorities and other public healthcare providers, and big hospitals

  • Experience leading top-level sales presentations with public sector stakeholders

  • Experience in public procurement processes and bidding is a plus

  • Thorough understanding of the public healthcare sector and of the hospitals market ecosystem

  • General knowledge of hospital-based provider services
