Summary:
We're building for the next 100 years and as part of this growth, we are actively building out our finance function in Ireland to support Clions in EMEA. We are currently seeking an Intermediate Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team at our Dublin HQ. This role supports the EMEA region while working closely with Clio’s North American Finance Operations team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency across all AR processes. We are distributed by design, and the successful candidate will have the ability to work in a hybrid environment with 2 anchor days in office and 3 work from home days per week.

What You’ll Work On:
As an Intermediate Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll be a key member of our high-performing EMEA Finance team. You will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of Clio’s global operations by managing invoicing, collections, and reconciliation activities across EMEA entities. You’ll help strengthen Clio’s cash management and revenue reporting foundation while contributing to scalable, compliant accounting operations under ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers).
Process Ownership: Own and maintain detailed schedules for all revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable. Maintain accurate and complete records of all customer communications, payment statuses, and account notes. Manage the shared AR inbox, triaging and responding to both internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Invoicing & Collections: Ensure timely collection and accurate invoicing for SaaS, Fixed Pricing Contracts, and Time & Materials projects. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing disputes or payment discrepancies quickly and effectively.
Accounting Support: Support the month-end close process for EMEA entities. Reconcile AR sub-ledgers to the general ledger and ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data. Develop a deeper understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and assist in preparing journal entries related to AR, deferred revenue, and bad debt reserves.
Process Improvement: Identify and propose enhancements to AR workflows, internal controls, and reporting accuracy and help maintain financial accuracy by adhering to internal controls. Support the documentation and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure scalability and audit readiness.
Analysis & Action: Prepare data-driven financial reports and analysis focused on AR aging/Collections KPI’s. Identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities to enhance cash flow and overall working capital management.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as an on-the-ground point of contact for AR activities within EMEA, ensuring professionalism and consistency in every interaction
Partnerships: Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Legal to address AR-related inquiries, including invoice status, credit requests, and payment applications.
Other Ad Hoc Duties: Support the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed. Things move quickly at Clio - we buy companies, implement new technology, and scale teams rapidly. We need your skills to help us do it all.
What You May Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in an Accounting/Finance related field.
2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Accounting Operations.
Solid understanding of accounting principles( US GAAP, IFRS, and ASC 606 is preferred.)
Ridiculous attention to detail.
The ability to wow people with your written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
Strong work ethic, energetic, and a positive attitude.
An accounting credential (completed or in progress).
Serious Bonus Points If You Have:
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience in a SaaS/Technology multi entity environment.
Proven ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite/Leapfin).

The expected salary range* for this role is €49,800 to €58,500 to €67,200 EUR. There are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
