Summary:
We’re looking for a Global Benefits Manager to join our People team. This role can be based in our Vancouver, Calgary, or Toronto offices (hybrid).
This is a unique opportunity to define and elevate Clio’s global benefits strategy, ensuring our programs reflect our values, support our people, and keep pace with the evolving needs of a high-growth SaaS organization. You’ll lead the design, delivery, and optimization of our global benefits offerings—from health, dental, and retirement programs to wellness initiatives and leaves of absence—ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and meaningful for Clions around the world.
What You'll Be Doing:
Define and establish our global benefits philosophy, creating a strategic roadmap to effectively operationalize all program elements.
Annually benchmark our benefits package against industry and tech market trends to ensure we remain competitive. Analyze program effectiveness, utilization, and costs to recommend strategic improvements.
Provide strategic and operational leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of our global benefit programs, including: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage, retirement & pension plans, and legislated leaves of absence and statutory provisions.
Oversee the day-to-day administration of all employee benefits programs, including health (medical, dental, vision), retirement (401(k), RRSP), life insurance, disability, leave of absence, and wellness initiatives.
Drive the annual global benefit renewal processes globally and recommend a go-forward approach taking into consideration feedback from internal stakeholders, market research, and cost analysis ensuring the company is getting the best return on investment.
Lead the entire annual open enrollment process, from planning and system configuration to creating engaging communication campaigns and educating employees.
Act as the primary contact for our benefits brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators. Lead renewal negotiations and manage vendor performance to ensure excellent service.
Continuously improve the employee experience by simplifying benefits communication, FAQs, and self-service tools.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with local legislation.
Proactively partners with key stakeholders in People, Finance and Legal to ensure seamless data flow, accurate payroll deductions, and budget alignment.
What You'll Have:
8+ years overseeing multiple areas of benefits including multi regional program modeling, design, and implementation
Proven track record of delivering high profile global benefits projects.
Strong analytical and storytelling skills when preparing and presenting benefit plan recommendations to senior leadership.
Extensive retirement, health, dental, and leave plan design knowledge across a global scale.
Experience preparing benefit harmonization integrations following acquisitions.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate and align competing priorities across diverse teams.
Thorough working knowledge of regulatory requirements in the Canada, US and international markets, including COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, and statutory leaves.
Strong proficiency in Workday Benefits administration with the ability to optimize workflows and resolve process-related issues.
Experience collaborating with payroll teams to ensure accurate benefit deductions and seamless leave management administration.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
