Our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team drives superior outcomes for Clio, financial and beyond. About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Go-To-Market (“GTM”) FP&A team. In this role, you will report to the Manager of GTM, FP&A and work with the Sales leadership and team to deliver on our financial plans, support strategic decision-making, provide financial insight, and help build operational rigor and efficiency.

This role requires one day a week in either our Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto office.

What you’ll work on:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (i.e., executives and staff) in the business and serve as a key point of contact for finance issues.

  • Support annual planning process, including generating well-vetted OPEX and HC plans - Actively engage in the planning processes for Customer Success and Marketing, including executing run-rate analysis, investment modeling, affordability analysis and budget allocation.

  • Provide monthly and quarterly financial reporting, analysis and key metrics that enable business decision making.

  • Improve business performance by providing insightful reports, dashboards, analyses, and models - Drive accountability for business results utilizing operational and financial metrics.

  • Monitor KPIs, identify trends and proactively work with operational leaders on opportunities to grow the business.

  • Support month end close process in close partnership with Accounting.

  • Support the implementation of best practices in FP&A processes to deliver efficiency and improved business outcomes.

What you bring:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA, CFA or MBA degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, equity research, investment banking, or similar background. Deep understanding of both financial and operational metrics

Skills:

  • Self-starter with strong analytical mindset, financial modeling, and reporting abilities. Curious and passionate about having an impact on the business.

  • Interest in understanding beyond the "what" as to the "why"

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and to communicate effectively to audiences at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint skills.

  • Experience with financial planning tools such as Pigment or similar is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The full salary range* for this role is $92,900 to $109,300 to $125,700 CAD..Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
