In this role, you will collaborate as part of a triad leadership group (Designer + Product Manager + Development Manager) and lead your team to success both technically and interpersonally.
Our Development Managers are highly technical and hands-on, often contributing to coding, design, and reviews. They create safe and productive environments, coaching their teams to excel in both technical execution and teamwork.
We are currently hiring a Development Manager for the Draft team, which is responsible for building the Clio Draft application, including features for document drafting, annotation, and management.

Designing technical solutions with your team and contributing to their implementation
Providing thoughtful feedback on code reviews, architecture documents, and other deliverables to guide strong technical decisions
Actively contributing to the project through code reviews or writing code yourself
Holding 1:1 meetings with direct reports to support their career growth and development goals
Participating in hiring to grow Clio’s engineering team
Reviewing code from your team or mentoring other Clio developers on technologies or patterns within your expertise
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
Proven success in leading software development teams, particularly within large-scale SaaS products
A strong background in hands-on software development
Broad technical expertise, enabling you to guide your team in solving complex problems
Experience delivering successful projects and valuable lessons learned from less successful ones
A demonstrated ability to hire, coach, and retain top engineering talent in a competitive job market
Equal enthusiasm for contributing technically and fostering the career growth of your team
A “strong opinions, weakly held” mindset, and the ability to foster that attitude in others
A commitment to providing and encouraging honest, actionable feedback within your team
Flexibility to adapt to change and adjust roadmaps as needed
