Summary:
We are currently seeking a Software Developer to join our rapidly growing engineering team. This role is for someone who is passionate about building innovative solutions and being exposed to new challenges and technologies while making an impact. This role is available to candidates across Canada, excluding Quebec.
What your team does:
We at Clio have an amazing team that is on a mission to transform the legal experience for all, and our engineering team’s goal is to deliver an incredible experience to our customers. In order to enable our engineers to build the best product they can, our development team has to build the best possible product that is high performing, reliable, scalable, and beautiful. You can expect this role to focus on net-new API development for a trailblazing product that is yet to be announced, but it is meant to solve a long-standing problem which has not been addressed in the industry so far.
A day in the life might look like:
Working with a team of developers to solve complex problems and provide elegant solutions to Clio customers;
Designing, developing, and testing software applications using C#, .NET 6, MVC, and related technologies
Working with other developers to build and maintain scalable and reliable software systems
Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment
Troubleshooting and debugging software applications
Keeping up with the latest trends and technologies in software development
Learning new things, exploring new territory, and challenging yourself
Participating in diverse projects and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams across three countries
Reviewing and providing feedback on a peer's code, both from within your own team or across all of Clio
What you may have:
Years of working experience in software development with C#, .NET, and MVC
Experience with NHibernate, Fluent NHibernate, Fluent Validation, Linq To XML, NUnit, Moq, Moq.AutoMocker, IIS , Microsoft SQL Server, FileStream Documents, JQuery, Ninject, and Async Calls to WebService
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
A diverse base of knowledge that allows you to help your team solve complex technical problems
A history of successful projects (as well as a collection of lessons learned from failed projects)
Clear communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and customers
The ability to grasp new technologies quickly and work effectively in a dynamic environment that includes distributed teams and customers

*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
