We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Fleet Management Team. This team is responsible for building guardrails, tooling, and guidelines to onboard new blockchain networks to our platform, leveraging the primitives provided by our Developer Platform team. The ideal candidate will have a strong platform and DevOps background, coupled with software development experience. The Fleet Management Team will play a crucial role in ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient onboarding of blockchain networks.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Operate and evolve highly available and performant engineering platform services such Kubernetes, Artifactory and CICD Platforms

  • Enable Blockchain Foundations teams to avoid hand-offs through self-serve engineering platform services

  • Reduce the barriers for protocol engineers at Chainalysis to deploy new blockchain networks

  • Champion best practices for monitoring and observability

  • Harden production systems (maintain uptime targets, graceful degradation, self-healing, automated recovery and security requirements)

  • Share innovative ideas and contribute to the team roadmap

  • Work with Information Security to improve the systems used to test releases for security issues

  • Develop best practices around use of cloud technology (AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka).

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Good understanding of deploying Infrastructure as Code using TerraformAn understanding of AWS services and technologies such as IAM, S3, EC2, EKS, RDS, MSK and Lambda

  • Experience running, maintaining and troubleshooting tooling to automate common development processes, reducing the manual effort required to execute tasks.

  • Prior success implementing infrastructure as code including pipelines as code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Jenkins), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience coding in one or more of the following: Java, Scala, Golang, Python or shell scripting

  • Experience monitoring production systems (DataDog, Prometheus, etc.)

Nice to have experience:

  • Experience in the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry - or a strong desire to learn (we can help!).

  • Knowledge of security best practices in a cloud environment.

  • Familiarity with data engineering and stream processing frameworks.
